We are proud to announce the second cohort of ENECHANGE Insight Ventures (EIV) 2021. 15 companies have been selected to participate in our energy venture innovation programme, which has been running successfully since 2018 and is now held virtually. As of 2021, we host two cohorts a year, with the first normally running between April and September, and the second between October and March.
Several dozen companies from across Europe, North America and Oceania applied for the cohort. The selection criteria were informed by our Subscribers — all significant players in the Japanese energy sector — and we selected a final line-up of ventures based on their technology, size, market traction, timeframe for a prospective collaboration, and Subscriber interest. With Japan aiming for net-zero by 2050, these companies all have the tools to help make that goal a reality.
The full list of companies is as follows:
In alphabetical order: AFC Energy, AmpUp, Autofleet, Circularise, DABBEL, eleXsys, H2B2, HySiLabs, Natel Energy, Sierra Energy, Steadysun, Svante, Swobbee, WindEsco, Zeigo
Each venture has the chance to present its company and services to our Subscribers during our monthly webinars. During these webinars, companies are asked to present exclusive information about their products, show demos, and outline plans for working with Japanese partners. The webinars will run until February this year, culminating in our Summit, held primarily in an online format, where we will announce the Honourees and have the opportunity to connect with Subscribers.
We are very excited about this cohort and are confident that they will become part of our successful alumni network.
